Chris Betts is President of Betts Housing Partners LLC, a real estate development services firm focusing on affordable housing. Betts Housing Partners specializes in several key areas including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, mixed financed projects layered with public subsidies, and supportive and special needs housing.
Chris has over 25 years of experience developing and financing housing, particularly in urban locations. Prior to establishing Betts Housing Partners, Chris was Senior Vice President of The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), a nonprofit affordable housing financing intermediary based in New York City, a position he held since 2004. Before joining CPC, Chris held senior positions with two large affordable housing developers working in New York State and Philadelphia. From 1994 to 1996, Chris was Assistant Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, a Master of Arts from the University at Albany, and a Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
